Get Miva Merchant Pages Properly Into Google

One of the problems with most online stores is that they are dynamic which means they don't end in .html. or .htm.

Miva Merchant by default has arguments in their URLs like "merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=". Google will skip these in the beginning when it indexes your site.

One of the little known secrets to getting listed in Google is to use a program called "Merchant Optimizer" by PHOSPHOR Media Partners.

Better Search Engine Indexing

In addition to its performance benefits, Optimizer creates a url profile of your site that search engines love. Instead of:
www.somedomain.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_code=This-Product$Store_Code=This-Store

Optimizer creates the page as:
www.somedomain.com/great/products/This-Product.html
